Best Food Processor Reviews – KitchenAid KFP7I5
Although the KitchenAid KFP7I5 was launched in the market with the promise to deliver good performance yet after use a lot of consumers were compelled to write negative reviews about this product. So let’s check out the areas where the KitchenAid KFP7I5 failed.
Poor R&D
One reviewer was very critical about the design of the handle. He found an opening in the handle which should not have been there. Water and other stuff enter the handle through that opening and cleaning the same is impossible because it cannot be opened. He commented that after using the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor for a year he will probably have to throw it away. The handle has a clear inner portion and the dirt that collects in the handle becomes visible through that portion. This he says shows that the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor is a result of poor research and development on the part of the manufacturer.
Parts lack durability
Another reviewer who bought the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor was horrified when he discovered that it had become useless within nine months of purchase. At first the plastic pieces broke off which in turn broke off the drive shaft. Next the handle broke apart. This made it impossible to use the processor. Of course he got back the replacement since the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor is covered by a 1 year warranty. However he promised never buy this product again. He also cited some more reviews which stated that during shredding the processor leaves behind chunks of the food item in the areas above the shredder. He said that if this happens then it is very bad. He was very skeptical about consumer reports which gave high ratings to the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor.
Cleaning is a tough job
There is one more reviewer who said that although the specs say that the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor can hold 7 cups but the truth is that it can only hold something over 2 and a half cups. If you put more the liquid flows out around the blade. Moreover food solids tend to gather under the ridged rim on the lid which makes cleaning really difficult.
Disappointing performance
Finally a lady reviewer who owned the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor for about a year or so described how the molded plastic where the bowl twists chipped away in such a way that it could no longer hold the bowl in place. Her warranty had already run out but still she approached the KitchenAid people who did not offer any support but rather advised her to buy a new one from them. They were adamant in their attitude that they have not come across any complaints about this problem. She was sure that it was a false claim. Her point was that, how could a user do this kind of damage to the processor. She considers the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor as a piece of junk which is not worth the price. It cannot even crush ice as claimed by the manufacturer. She has decided to ditch the KitchenAid KFP7I5 food processor and buy a Cuisinart instead.
